Alberobello, Matera & Roma

Where do Italians live? Come explore for yourself. 

Our tour will begin in Rome. You will spend the first few nights living in an apartment in the center of the historic city as we explore some of the homes of Rome's former rulers.

We will then travel by train to Puglia where we will visit the city of Alberobello. These unusual conical, one-room huts have an interesting (and very Italian) origin. You will live in your very own trullo for a few days as you learn about the history of Puglia and taste some of the local cuisine. 

We will drive the short distance to Matera in Basilicata. Learn about the history of the sassi, a dwelling specific to this city with a complicated recent history, as you discover more about the development of this region. 

The tour will finish with a final night back in the Eternal City.
